According to the web, I must be the only person on earth who hates my Bosch dishwasher. I purchased my Bosch Integra dishwasher six years ago, and my hatred for it has grown by the day ever since. I really miss my old, much less expensive Maytag. It all started when I realized that the Bosch holds far fewer dishes -- I guess it's all the soundproofing insulation. I had four kids at home at the time, and I found that I instantly went from running the dishwasher once a day to running it two or three times a day. I felt I could always squeeze one more dish into that Maytag. Not so with the Bosch. And I have to hand wash any bowl bigger than a cereal bowl or I won't be able to fit enough other dishes. To make matters worse, it doesn't clean well, especially if you don't thorougly clean off the dishes and load it just right. Well, my kids do the dinner dishes, so you can imagine. I just finished inspecting all my dishes for grainy residue, as I do every morning. Many failed the test. I've never had a dishwasher that I had to clean inside on a regular basis before. Ironic in an appliance made to clean dishes, that it can't even clean itself. I am constantly scrubbing out the filter, pulling out and cleaning the removable gasket (and food gets stuck in the gasket channel -- very hard to clean) and wiping out the inside. I clean out the holes on the water squirters -- nothing improves the performance. I can't believe I paid extra for this. I've had repairmen out a few times over the years, and they say there's nothing wrong with it.
