My case came free with the processor. I have the full set of discs and I don't like them loose. I put the clear lid under the base and rather then putting in a few flat I put them all in by standing them on edge. I can see which blade I want and protect my fingers. It's more convenient then unstacking to find the disc I want also. I would not recommend purchasing one. I do recommend getting the additional blades. I use my processor almost daily.
