This carpet cleaner cleans very well, but it is very cheaply made. The gears are all made of cheap plastic. The gears stripped out after only 30 minutes of use. All external exposed parts are also made of cheap plastic. I would not recommend that anyone buy this carpet cleaner. Plastic is not always a bad material, there are some plastics that are very strong and not a bad choice, items like radiator tanks and valve covers on auto engines, but the plastic that Hoover uses on this carpet cleaner is very cheap and will not last.
