I have always been a canister vacuum person. Had Sears Kenmore previously which lasted me 17 years with only one repair. Thought I would try another brand thinking the technology may have come a long way. Did a lot of internet research and chose this Hoover. However, I am not overly impressed. Let's start with the pros: it's bagless... 6 yr. warranty... love the under furniture swivel action... not too noisy... telescoping handle comes in handy. The cons are: bulky to handle... not powerful enough... attachments don't click into handle (including beater bar) so they keep disconnecting from handle while vacuuming... floor brush has no spot to be held on canister... retractable cord has to be fed back in, does not retract on it's own... beater bar does not pick up everything on carpets even at the lowest setting. Having said all that, I think the negatives outweigh the positives. It does an OK job but not great. I'm disappointed.
