I spent a LONG time reading all the vacuum reviews before i got this vac. Especially since i have carpet, hard flooring and PETS. MUST have power brush for carpet and SO glad i got this model miele and did not cheap out. this is a great vacuum - great power, easy to move, good for hard floors as well as carpet - def need the power brush for carpet! I have VERY furry pets and it works great on picking up all the hair. vac bags are expensive, but very large and hold a lot of stuff. the only complaint is that it is so well made and durable that it is a bit heavy and because i vacuum like a mad woman - it is chewing up my pine molding around the doors a little when i drag around the corners and such. because of the heaviness i would not recommend it for elderly. otherwise everyone should have one - it is great!

After paying nearly $900 for what was supposedly the best filtration system for a family with allergies, I expected a high performance and reliable product. Unfortunately like my German cars, it suffered from detail issues. The power heard was intermittent and try getting this fixed under warranty. It went to "Ze schopp" for a few months and came back to try again. Except the hose fell off. Yep, right at the canister body. "No problemo, looks like this was made to just snap in". And off. In. And off. Back to Ze Schopp. Meanwhile wife went to Walmart and bought a GE HEPA for $89. Sorry to say this the GE works just as well, is quieter, and well, it works while the Miele is getting a new CPU or something.
